Resigned with Honour

It is something relieving knowing that I have some values in me. Values that I know I really deserve them. Values that I get from my own effort. Values that I obtained from self-awareness in improving myself. Here are some chronology of my life for the past 2 years.

I was like shy shy cat when I first entered V5.
Yalah, that time I was doing my foundation and yet had to stay with the final year students. Dugdabdugdab jantungku. And I knew that this would be a big problem to me if I didn;t do something with it. Here comes the next point. (does this sound like resolution? lantak kau lah. suka hati aku aku nak cakap apa)

I got an SMS from the V5 Committee saying that I was selected to be the block manager of my Block J
My first reaction after receiving the SMS was : "Mak aih! Tanggungjawab! Sangat tak mahu! Ape klas jadi block manager!" But then I just accepted the post..

Masa pun berlalu..

V5 Chef Gala pertandingan memasak.. Futsal Fiesta for Charity bersukan sambil kumpul dana untuk Aman Palestin.. V5 Raya Dinner beraya sakan 2009.. V5 Raya Fiesta beraya sakan jugak 2008.. Mathronicamp ajar kanak2 maths.. V5 Artfest pertandingan kesenian etc.. V5 Tarik Fiesta pertandingan tarik tali..

and many more..

But this time, realising that I have the power to do a change in V5Sr and in V5, I tried to be futuristic. I have everything planned from promotion, recruitment and at the same time, managing an event.

And tonight I'm proud to say that;
1) I have no fear handling a meeting.. Within these 2 years, I'm happy realizing that I don't startle when I have many eyes focusing on me, listening to what I'm saying.
2) Most proudly, I can handle a meeting in English too. Yeah, I'm proud of this. Being proud knowing that I'm no a coward anymore. Have a convincing level of confidence.
3) I learn to organize things. Organization isn't about 'buat suka hati'.. It's all about good plans. With good plans, you can do everything well.

After all, these are all my weaknesses that I planned to improve for the past 2 years..

And now I'm retiring from the highest post of the organization, with many improvements in me.

I'm labeling myself as : Retired with honour

And of course, I'd like to thank my friends, Ima Ai Naila Syima Uyun for staying this far. I can't do everything alone. Thank you so much :')

I'm a risk taker, I know.
And I love to challenge myself, that's me.
I love complications, for I believe that I can learn something from the effort I put on it.

I can't stay put, I don't like to be an inert.
Oh, I just love myself.
I'm happy with what I did, and for what I am.

Minggu Awal Persekolahan

Hai, diam tak diam ubi berisi boleh goreng kunyit. Esok hari Rabu, hari ini hari Selasa. Esok lusa siapa yang tahu.

----------------------------------

Sem ni, subjek2 yang diambil sangatlah durhh. Awal2 kelas banyak belajar derivation yang menyakitkan saraf2 tunjang bersama saraf otak. Tapi even sakit2 otak pun aku mampu je menguap dalam klas huaarhhhh.

Well Test Analysis
Reservoir Modeling & Simulation
Facilities Engineering
Intro to Management
Engineering Economics & Entrepreneurship
Engineering Team Project

Sangatlah kedewasaan bunyinya.

So, V5 Goes Green ni berada di bawah naungan aku. Kempen ni akan berlangsung di V5 selama 2 bulan. Antara aktiviti yang bakal diadakan adalah:

1) Kempen kitar semula dan jimat elektrik
Sebab - aku perasan tahap kesedaran student2 kat sini tentang kepentingan kitar semula sangatlah kurang. You're heating the globe!

2) Aktiviti gotong-royong
Lokasi sekitar Bandar Sri Iskandar. Penduduk setempat dan ahli JKK turut terlibat. Boleh percaya ke ni idea aku? Oh my god! Reason? Saje nak berbakti kat tempat yang ditumpangi~

3) Persembahan teater hijau
Untuk ni, kami jemput Tronoh Theatre Shop untuk berlakon.

4) Trip ke Gua Tempurung
Plan asalnya nak pergi Tasik kenyir, tapi fellow reject sebab jauh sangat. Wuwu

5) Kutip derma

6) Pelancaran V5 Green Day

Itulah serba sedikit tentang V5 Goes Green.

- Robocon 2010 -
Memandangkan pertandingan bulan 6 nanti, kami berehat dari membuat robot sebentar. Tema Robocon kali ni : RoboPharaohs Build Pyramids (sila klik untuk maklumat lanjut tentang pertandingan ni)

OK tu je lah update kali ni, semoga updates ini cukup! Mengapa saya berbahasa melayu baku?

Lesen P

Yeah most people know that I already have the P license now so congrats to me :)

But not much know that I went through a truly sakit-hati JPJ test hari tu. Why?

1) I used to do my driving practice using the new kancil, with the AE_ plat number. But I got the lousy, old and stupid ADG kancil for my bukit test. The clutch was urgggh! Sangat tak best. And the speed meter was not even functioning! My driving coach told me to press the "minyak sampai 3" dekat atas bukit tu. But when I was pressing the minyak, the meter didn't move! I then got panicked la! Then I just did my best and luckily everything went smooth that time. Nasib baik
(-_-") The pegawai for the bukit test was so baik hati and not annoying. I like them both. Tenkiu encik!

2) Then, jalanraya test. I thought that the encik was OK coz he answered my salam. A good sign there, but not during the second half of the whole journey (-_-")

"Bawak sampai 60". That time the speed meter showed 55.

"Laju lah sikit!". This time I was turning at the junction.

At the second junction, "Cepat cepat! Hishhh". That time, there was another car at the junction I was turning to.

Nak masuk fourth junction, "Kamu janganlah takut nak tekan minyak tu! Saye ade brek ni ha! Takkan saye nak biarkan awak terlajak! Tengok ni!" He pressed the break pedal sampai habis. That time, I was accelerating. Badan tercampak sikit when he pressed the pedal. Hati aku pun panas but I just smiled. I said nothing but dalam hati penuh sumpahan.

When I got back to the main road, I pressed minyak kuat-kuat, knowing that the encik datang dari kelompok yang tak reti sabar. I took over semua kenderaan yang kelihatan lembab. The tanker the tow truck and everything.

"Potong je semua sampai habis" he said. I pressed until 80.

"Ni kalau aku fail atas alasan tak mematuhi speed memang nak kene ni" I said to myself.

Then he kept quiet, he seemed OK with the laju laju (-_-)

Bile dah sampai, I was shocked when he gave me a LULUS with 17/20 mark.

I conclude that, "OK saye tau encik suke saye main potong potong tadi tu. Sebab encik dah lapa kan. Nak sampai cepat kan. Saye tau" (-_-")

Pape pun mekaseh encik. Encik buat saye berani untuk memotong
(-_-")

Pangkor Trip : Part 3 and a half

Sorry for the previous post. Hish!

Let's start it over again.

********************************

"Err I can't remember anything" sambil tergelak bodo2.

"Come on, you should try. You know, the best way to learn a language is by speaking the language itself"

Mulia.

Keesokan harinya,

Saturday
January 16, 2010

The weather seemed unpleasant. Dark clouds wandered upon the Pangkor sky, brought a gloomy feeling inside. Sedih, banyak plan hari ni. But if hujan, nak buat ape kan? So we walked for a while around the small pekan, and I bought a pants. Then we had breakfast in the villa we were staying in, as we were worried that the weather would have us caught in the rain later. So we just played safe, we had breakfast at our place lah.

Good morning Pangkor!

And this was my stupid morning meal. These 2 toasts, stupid scrambled egg, PLANTA (yang paling tak boleh blah) and jem murah cost me RM7.50. Oh, this stupid set comes with a cup coffee too. Tapi takpelah, we had no other options (-.-)

It was raining when we were having our breakfast so we ate lambat2 then the hujan pun berhenti. We went to the neighboring resort to rent a bicycle as our place didn't provide such services (what urrrh!

But cycling in Pangkor was not an easy job as you know lah kan, pulau banyak bukit. We actually planned to cycle to Jeti Pangkor but the bukit2 and all made us asal naik bukit je kami turun balik. Bile turun, pegi jalan lain, jumpe bukit lagi, kami turun balik (-.-') So that was how we spent our time with the bicycles. Turun naik bukit je (-.-') And, our friend Ai muntah akibat mendaki bukit curam tu dengan menaiki basikal. See how sakit we all were (-_-)

Moments before Ai puked.

Then we went to our favorite beach spot. Duduk duduk menenangkan Ai yang kemuntahan tadi.

Ai dan basikal.

Feeling like bosan-bosan, we built a sand castle. Eh no lah! It was a sand university! :D

Sand university in progress.

And this is UTP - Universiti Teknologi Pangkor theee

After zohor, grand plan; akitiviti air oooyeah!

Boat ride to Pulau Giam : snorkeling.

And tadaaaaa dah sampai Pulau Giam: the best spot in Teluk Dalam for snorkeling activity.

Sebelum kebasahan.

To tell you the truth, the snorkeling spot in Pulau Giam was nothing much interesting. But to me as a first-timer, having the kawan2 nemo 2 inches in front of me was something great! I fed them roti while doing snorkeling, and to my surprise, the ikan even knocked my goggle chasing the bits of roti! Oh sangatlah friendly diorang tu sumee.

But there was something unexpected happened to me;

I got swollen eyes and,

an eye internal bleeding too :(

Pangkor Trip : Part 3

Ok, sambung lagi. kawan saya naila qistina tu jelita. saya cemburu =( apa nak buat ni

I Know It's Late...

but still,

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DEAR :)

Yesterday I attended my driving lesson in the morning, and went to Ipoh up till night with budak2 yang biase lah, mane ade yang lain lagi.

We watched The Spy Next Door, cite klaka. Cool, sesuai untuk kanak2.

And I bought 1 T-shirt, 1 blouse. Sangat suke sebab dapat discount. Baju RM70 jadi RM21, RM40 jadi RM20. Makan prosperity burger, beli apple pie, pretzel, sundae cone vanilla macam biase. Bought 2 sushis but forgot to eat, now I leave them in the fridge, nak makan malam nanti. Siang cannot eat coz I'm fasting sebab semalam dah spend banyak (-.-')

Dan..... sekarang dah lari dari tajuk.

OK lah, right after we got back from Ipoh around 1030pm, Zai was here in my room (die ni perosak rancangan coz we planned to show her the surprise in her room instead)

And when Dian, Uyun and Mad were already in my room, I went..

"Zai, sori. Kitorang ade bende nak cakap. Weh tutup pintu nanti orang dengar!"

Then Uyun said

"Haah Zai. Bende ni melibatkan Ayat."

Mad "Hish susahnye nak cakap"

Me "Aku tak reti la nak cakap. Baik korang je yang cakap"

At that time Zai's face obviously changed, but still, she tried to keep her smile worn at her face. Aku suke. Haha.

"Sebenarnye...."

"Tadaaaaaaaa! Naah!"

Twilght Saga Journal. Very exclusive. Puas hati dapat belikan Zai this present. Lagi puas hati we made her cried that night-terharu dapat hadiah.

Ok, swollen eyes. Aku suke.

Uyun and Zai-with her happy+touched face.

Hepi sangat buat Zai sedih malam tu huahahahh

Happy Belated Birthday! =)

Pangkor Trip : Part 2

... Continued ...
*continuation from previous post, Pangkor Trip : Part 1

"Hi, do you want me to take your picture?"

Ai Ima and me were startled.

"Errrm yes, please" I said, passing him Ima's camera.

"1.. 2.. smilee.."

Click!

And this is the result. Ima's hands saying "Ouch!"

"Nah amek ni. Have a look at it and tell me if you want to take it over again" he said, passing me the camera.

"No, this is fine. Thanx"

"You know, you don't have to jump or climb a tree to get a nice picture". He gave us a sarcastic smile and did a 'monkey' act. OK, this guy had been obviously observing us - blame Ima for the jumping pose, please!

Then he had his hands playing around with his goggle.

Being shocked with everything that just happened, we just laughed hahahahaaa

"So, where are you coming from?"

"Me? I'm from Algeria... and I'm an author."

"Wow, that sounds nice"

"I write books about traveling and previously I was in the Borneo. I climbed up the Mount Ki...emm mount.."

"Kinabaluu"

"Yeah, Kinabalu with my 25kilos backpack" and again, he showed us how he carried his backpack with him and made a funny face. So comel la this fella. Haha. "I've been here in Pangkor for 4 days and I'm going back tomorrow bla bla bla". He told us soooo many things about the place. He showed us the owner of the operating stall, and even told us what he knew about the owner. Doing that way, he made us feel like we're foreigner and he's the local there (-_-)

And not long after that, he went back to his place and seconds after that, again, he came to us.

"Emm do you know where Algeria is?"

Oh noo, please Mr. Algeria, don't make us seem stupid. Believe me, Malaysians are not stupid. Malaysia is a developing country and we do learn Geography. It's just the 3 girls in front of you don't have much time to study the globe the atlas and all sorts (-.-)

"Is it in the west of Asia?" I gave my stupid guess and he shook his head. "Nope"

Please, I really need a thinking cap. I was like, being in a reality show brought to you live from Pangkor. The beach sands as the seat, the wide sea as the audience, the tree branch as the recording camera, the wave sound as the buzzer and having Ima and Ai as my rivals (-.-) Whattaa. I roughly know where America is, where France is, where the UK is, where Africa is, where Canada is, proficient with the Asian countries, but this Algeria, I only can imagine that it is somewhere between the west of Asia and the Europe (-.-) Sound dumb wasn't I?

He just laughed, and asked us to google for Algeria when we get back (-_-) Ok, no right answer this time. Stupido.

Next question he gave us was "Do you know which language do we use in Algeria?"

Ok, tadi tu Geo. Now you're giving us general knowledge pulak? Hmmmm.

"English?"

"Emm emm" he gave a half nod and a half shake.

Then I went "Is it Arabic?", thinking that the answer must be either the 3 main world languages; English, Arabic and French.

"Yes! You get 10 marks for that." See? He was giving us questionnaires just to make us feel like being in a quiz show! That was funny. "In Algeria we speak Arabic, English, and also French bla bla bla"

Hearing the word french, I went "Danc, tu peux parler le francais?"; testing my long-time-no-practice french ie. dare to die.

He said "Ouiiii bien sur!" and some other things that I couldn't really understand the ascent (-.-) "Now tell me about yourself in french"

Mati aku! Sekarang soalan bahasa pulak!

"Je m'apple bla bla. J'ai vingt et un ans bla bla bla bla j'habite bla bla bla" waaaaaa sungguh menyesal memulakan perbualan dalam bahasa perancis itu. Huhu. Sangatlah sakit otak walaupun untuk mengeluarkan secebis perkataan basic perancis (-,-)

From that moment he knew that I can speak french, whenever we met, he would speak french with me. At that night, when Ai Ima and me were walking around the small town, we met him again. We were sitting by the road, and he came to us and said to me "Tell me what you did today in french"

To be continued...

Pangkor Trip : Part 1

3 days in Pangkor was great. That holds the title of my entry this time ;)

************************

We've never thought of this before; going to Pangkor though the Lumut jetty is just 90 minutes away from UTP and it takes you about 15 minutes to reach Pangkor Island by ferry. This heaven on earth is just sooo close to us and I have no idea why did my friend and I had never think of getting any trip to Pangkor before this! But this time, Ai, Ima and I were unstoppable decided that

PANGKOR IS A MUST FOR THIS HOLIDAY OIYEAAAHH

Sounds nice to us, of course :D

Jan 15, 2010 Friday

We took a bus from Taman Maju around 1100am, with a help from Ima's friend (and with a minor harassment from an unknown psycho guy. He was neat-attired, got his blue collared T-shirt tucked in, a black belt neatly done up around his waist AND some obvious missing teeth too haha). The ride to Lumut cost us RM4.80.

Taman Maju bus stop. Ai, Ima and Fado.

This girl, she was going green that day.

Arrived Lumut Jetty around 1230pm, had our lunch at a restaurant owned by a TLDM retiree. The service there was totally satisfying; delicious, hygienic, cheap and friendly. A truly worth it.

My meal. Daging masak kicap and lettuce. Plus iced lemon tea, total RM4.20

Lumut jetty terminal.

We bought a 2-way ticket which cost RM10 and embarked on the ferry around 400pm with some other tourists. And there were 3 never-been-to-Pangkor-for-a-holiday's acting like monkeys on the ferry; went here and went there, snapped here and snapped there, posed here and posed there and, I was one of the monkeys too (-.-')

Monkeys on ferry. Oh, that hat, RM10.

As we arrived in Pangkor, we took a taxi to take us to Nipah Bay and this costs each of us RM4 for the 6km-ride. We checked-in at Nipah Bay Villa; our homestay for the next 2 nights. Each one of us paid RM53 for that economy room of 2 nights stay. Yes it might be small, but that was never a problem to us. We just admired the cute room as it provided us everything; air-conditioner, hot shower, Astro and a queen sized bed-sufficient for an optimum comfort.

Arriving Pangkor.

In the pink van.

We did nothing that afternoon but had a walk around the small town of Nipah Bay and on the beach; just to have a day-view for the night plan. The beach which was closer to Nipah Bay Villa was OK I would say, but it was just too crowded with the service stalls (providing you the kayak, jet ski etc). The beach area was somehow undergoing a renovation process; which was quite an eye-sore to me.

Too many hanging ropes for the monkeys (^.^)

And this monkey chose this rope.

See the stalls behind us. Such an eye-sore right?

Walking to the neighboring beach took us about 10-15 minutes of snail styled walking (berlenggang kangkung). And here, voila! This was truly the foreign tourists' favorite spot! With a much wider and whiter shore, I wondered why weren't there many local tourists here. Yeah, maybe the locals are too shy too see those 'stuffs' kikiki (^_^)

Ima trying to do the jumping pose. Whattaa.

Again, the monkeys went back to their mission. Not enough chaos on the land, they climbed the tree. What a sight (-.-)

The sami-wanabe monkey (-_-)

Then the 2 monkeys continued their mission on the land. But they never expected their 'monkey'ness had attract a foreign tourist to approach them. Totally unexpected. He then stood up and walked towards them and..

... To be continued. Penat dah!

P/S : Total expenses so far - RM86
